Since the initial introduction in 1988, over 18 million Ohio Brass PDI’s have been shipped. As the industry leader in this market segment, Hubbell Power Systems, Inc. is taking the proactive step of fully re-investing in new tooling to continue the tradition of superior quality and service. With this transition, enhancements were made on several aspects of electrical performance as well as an improved appearance as a result of new tooling.
These updates result in slightly different weathershed designs but overall the updates to our PDI-15, PDI-25, & PDI-28 will have the same mechanical function and performance as our existing designs. In addition, we are introducing a new PDI-46 design that has a slightly shorter section length than the existing PDI-35 design but meets the ANSI & CSA requirements. The current PDI-35 design will continue to be offered for those customers who have standardized on this product.
